Students’ higher-order thinking skills in discrete mathematics during covid-19 pandemic

Mathematics learning in the era of 4.0 must be oriented to aspects higher-order thinking skills that important for any mathematics subject including discrete mathematics. The online caused Covid-19 pandemic influence many and skills. purpose this study was analyse students' during COVID-19 Pandemic using Two-Tier Multiple Choice (TTMC) instrument. This research conducted from March May 2020. Subjects were 11 students class IIB Education Study Program Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar. used descriptive analysis techniques. Data collected through tests, interviews, observations, documentation. results data showed percentage with very low categories 18.18%, 36.36% moderate 45.45%. Online due also causes difficulties do group discussion as well decrease student motivation. In contrast, are more familiar concepts their environment such graph can use internet facilities effectively. Some solutions problems occurred are: 1) Using interactive learning, 2) Project-Based (PBL), 3) Discussing current trends 4) Demonstrating assertiveness, establishing rules, 5) Supporting get better facilities.
